Sliding Door (Wired Guide)

You will need:

  • 2x WIRED Trigger: User Walks On Furni
  • 2x WIRED Effect: Match Furni to Position & State
  • 1x WIRED Trigger: Avatar walks off furni
  • 4x Tiles
  • 2 Glass Dividers (Item of your choice)

Step 1:

First, set up the wired stack as shown below.

This setup will enable you to move the doors back and forth, functioning like automated sliding doors typically seen in supermarkets or banks. For this tutorial, I’ve used Glass Dividers as an example, but you can substitute them with any item you prefer for the sliding door effect.

Keep in mind that if the furniture is larger than a single square, you’ll need to adjust the settings and use Match Furni to Position & State appropriately.

Step 2:
Next, design the layout for the sliding doors (refer to the example below).

The tiles will act as triggers, causing the doors to slide open and close when someone enters a specific area or section of the room.

Step 3:

Now we have our design, we will begin to set up our first stack on the left (shown below.) This is the wired stack that will trigger to slide the doors open.

Step 4:

Now, position the glass dividers as shown in the example photo and configure the Match Furni to Position & State settings accordingly, following the details in the photo.

Step 5:

In the same stack, click onto User Walks on Furni and click the two front tiles. (Shown below)

Step 6:
This step is similar to the previous ones. However, the next stack on the right side (as shown in the first picture) will serve as the trigger to close the doors after someone has passed through.

Position the glass dividers over the top tiles (use a stacker to lower the glass dividers), and configure the Match Furni to Position & State using the same settings applied to the other Match Furni, as illustrated below.

Step 7:

Now, access the User Walks On trigger on the right side, select the two tiles located behind the glass dividers (as shown in the picture below), and confirm your selection.

Step 8:

Using the final wired Avatar Walks Off Furni ensures the doors remain closed when someone exits (e.g., returning to the main lobby area).

Click all the tiles and confirm, TADA! Your doors should be ready to slide.

Enjoy your doors!
