About
The Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom (MoD) is tasked with ensuring the overall security and protection of all of our organisation's interests, this involves monitoring and tackling both internal and external threats and working to maximise awareness around safe cyber security practices, so that members can take preventative action themselves against potential nefarious actors.
Key functions of the Ministry
- Identifying and mitigating/neutralising threats against UK members, visitors and allies.
- Coordinating with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, to assess the national security implications of diplomatic relations with other organisations.
- Responding to and advising on urgent security matters alongside the National Security Council (NSC).
Who we are
The Ministry is led and operated by the Defence Secretary (agumobrown), as well as the Minister of State for Defence (L.Cornwall), please reach out to either of these individuals if you have any questions or concerns relating to the security of our membership or wider establishment.
National Threat Level
- The Ministry of Defense shall maintain a publicly displayed National Threat Level which shall consist of the following levels:
- LOW - An attack is highly unlikely.
- MODERATE - An attack is possible, but not likely.
- SUBSTANTIAL - An attack is likely.
- SEVERE - An attack is highly likely.
- CRITICAL - An attack is either highly likely in the near future or is currently in progress.
