PEERAGES
The Peerage System of the Habbo United Kingdom is part of the Honours System, alongside the orders of chivalry and merit. In the system there shall exist 5 peerages, each with their own requirements and privileges. The peerages, in order of honour and nobility, shall be:
- Duke/Duchess
- Marquess/Marchioness
- Earl/Countess
- Viscount/Viscountess
- Baron/Baroness
The appointment to each peerage shall be decided solely by the Sovereign. Each peerare, by tradition, has requirements for entry, however these are at the discretion of the Sovereign and can therefore be ignored, or amended at their will. The requirements were established to ensure the integrity of the honour of each peerage.
- Duke/Duchess - former 3iC+
- Marquess/Marchioness - former 4iC+
- Earl/Countess - former 5iC+
- Viscount/Viscountess - former Cabinet member or Justice of the Supreme Court
- Baron/Baroness - employed for X amount of days
All peerages shall come with privileges due to their nobility and requirements. These include prefixes for usernames, titles with land, and the right to sit in the House of Lords when they so choose to (so long as legislation or policies does not prohibit it). The privileges of each peerage are as follows:
- Duke/Duchess - allowed the honorific prefix “The Most Noble”; can be referred to as “Your/His/Her Grace”; allowed a title “(The) Duke/Duchess of [UK location distinct to them]”
- Marquess/Marchioness - allowed the honorific prefix “The Most Honourable”; allowed a title “(The) Marquess/Marchioness of [UK location distinct to them]”
- Earl/Countess - allowed the honorific prefix “The Right Honourable”; allowed a title “(The) Earl/Countess of [UK location distinct to them]”
- Viscount/Viscountess - allowed the honorific prefix “The Right Honourable”; allowed a title “(The) Viscount/Viscountess [Name]”
- Baron/Baroness - allowed the honorific prefix “The Right Honourable”; allowed a title “(The) Lord/Baroness [Name]”
ORDERS OF CHIVALRY AND MERIT
As established by the Sovereign, there shall be five orders of decoration and nobility; 4 orders of chivalry and 1 order of merit. Though there shall be no official difference between these two divisions, they stand separate for purposes of realism. These orders were established to recognise and appreciate members of the Habbo United Kingdom for their services to the Sovereign and the organisation.
The five orders, in order of nobility, shall be:
- The Most Noble Order of the Garter
- The Most Honourable Order of the Bath
- The Royal Victorian Order
- The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
- The Order of the Companions of Honour
The appointment to any of these orders shall be by ceremonial procedure conducted by the Sovereign. All of these orders can only be appointed and approved by the Sovereign, however, 2 are on recommendations and advice of the Government, 1 for VIP purchases, and the remaining 2 at the sole discretion of the Sovereign. The type of appointments are as follows:
- The Most Noble Order of the Garter - sole discretion of the Sovereign
- The Most Honourable Order of the Bath - advice of the Government
- The Royal Victorian Order - advice of the Government
- The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire - advice of the Government
- The Order of the Companions of Honour - VIP purchases
Each appointment comes with particular privileges, depending on the appointed order and class. These privileges are able to be shown where appropriate, such as in signature blocks. The privileges include prefixes and post-nominal letters to signify the level of class and order of appointment. These privileges are as follows:
- The Most Noble Order of the Garter:
- Known as Knight/Lady Companion of the Order of the Garter, and will be allowed the prefix “Sir/Lady” and the post-nominal letters “KG/LG”.
- The Most Honourable Order of the Bath
- First Class: known as Knight/Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath, and will be allowed the prefix “Sir/Dame” and the post-nominal letters “GCB”.
- Second Class: known as Knight/Dame Commander of the Order of the Bath, and will be allowed the prefix “Sir/Dame” and the post-nominal letters “KCB/DCB”.
- Third Class: known as Companion of the Order of the Bath, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “CB”.
- The Royal Victorian Order
- First Class: known as Knight/Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, and will be allowed the prefix “Sir/Dame” and the post-nominal letters “GCVO”.
- Second Class: known as Knight/Dame Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, and will be allowed the prefix “Sir/Dame” and the post-nominal letters “KCVO/DCVO”.
- Third Class: known as Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “CVO”.
- Fourth Class: known as Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “LVO”.
- Fifth Class: known as Member of the Royal Victorian Order, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “MVO”.
- Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
- First Class: known as Knight/Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire, and will be allowed the prefix “Sir/Dame” and the post-nominal letters “GBE”.
- Second Class: known as Knight/Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, and will be allowed the prefix “Sir/Dame” and the post-nominal letters “KBE/DBE”.
- Third Class: known as Commander of the Order of the British Empire, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “CBE”.
- Fourth Class: known as Officer of the Order of the British Empire, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “OBE”.
- Fifth Class: known as Member of the Order of the British Empire, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “MBE”.
- The Order of the Companions of Honour
- First Class: known as Commander of the Order of the Companions of Honour, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “CH”.
- Second Class: known as Lieutenant of the Order of the Companions of Honour, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “LH”.
- Third Class: known as Member of the Order of the Companions of Honour, and will be allowed the post-nominal letters “MH”.
VIP purchases are part of The Order of the Companions of Honour, and are graded as follows:
- First Class: 150c
- HQ access, Discord access and a seat in the House of Lords
- Second Class: 100c
- HQ access and Discord access
- Third Class: 50c
- HQ access
There shall be particular decorations for each order, ignorant of the level of class. These decoration are approved by the Sovereign, and can only be worn by those appointed and approved by the Sovereign, and are as follows:
- The Most Noble Order of the Garter
- The Most Honourable Order of the Bath
- The Royal Victorian Order
- The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
- The Order of the Companions of Honour
Additionally, anyone appointed to Order of the Garter may wear the Adorned Fantasy Cape with the standard medal accessory, as shown below.
