Military Intelligence
The Military Intelligence (MI) is the United Kingdom’s security and intelligence branch. It focuses on training, recruitment, intelligence-gathering and protection of the Royal Family and His Majesty’s Government.
The branch is led by the Director General and consists of two divisions, which are known as the Security Service (MI5) and the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). The MI5 liaises with Home Office and the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Events to provide support in domestic intelligence and engagement while the MI6 liaises with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to provide support in foreign intelligence. The branch is primarily in charge of creating and maintaining training materials for Low Ranks/Employees, organising the Royalty and Specialist Protection at events (such as Formal Addresses, Knighting Ceremonies, Royal Family events, etc.) and other tasks delegated by the Director General.
